Academic Evaluation System
The institute's evaluation system is designed to continually assess the student's performance with respect to the required standards of academic achievement. Apart from examinations, a student's performance is assessed on the basis of class participation, preparation of periodic assignments, mid-term tests and surprise quizzes. As specified in the Student Manual, the institute expects a minimum standard of academic performance for promotion and for the award of the certificate. Failure to meet the minimum standards of performance would require a student to discontinue the program. Multiple criteria are used to evaluate students continuously throughout the course.

Grading System: The Institute follows 13 point grading system with plus and minus grades as described below :
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Average
  4. Low Pass
  5. Fail
All components, except project and class participation will be first awarded marks before assigning letter grades.
While converting marks into grades for each component relative grading system shall be follows. Mean and Standard Deviation method shall be used to arrive at class-interval of marks for each sub-grade.
